On this International Yoga Day, check out these 11 celebrities who have realised the importance of practising yoga.

The International Yoga Day is here, and we started celebrating it in 2015. But this day also comes to remind us that it is necessary to practice yoga, not just on this one day, but every day of the year. Also during the COVID-19 scare, people have realised the importance of practising the breathing exercises of yoga, called pranayama. If you need some motivation to begin your yoga routine, maybe this list will help you. Here are 11 of your most favourite celebrities, some who regularly practice yoga, some who have recently begun doing it, and some who feel like they should begin doing it soon.

Ashish Vidyarthi

This acclaimed and talented actor will soon be seen in the upcoming ZEE5 show, Sunflower. When asked about what he preferred, gym or yoga, Ashish Vidyarthi said, “I would like to do both gym and yoga, but currently, I am gravitating more towards yoga.”

Paoli Dam

The Raat Baaki Hai actor, when asked the same question, shared that she likes to practice a mixture of both, gym and yoga. She said that it is a great package for her. Paoli Dam also said that she considers gym as an endurance program while she believes that yoga has a ‘holistic approach’ to exercise.

Arunoday Singh

Arunoday Singh, who we recently starred in the spy thriller film, Lahore Confidential, is known for maintaining his fitness well. He has shared that he prefers both, gym and yoga, and does them alternatively.

Tinaa Datta

Tinaa Datta, the Naxalbari actress, said that she prefers yoga for her fitness, and does it regularly. She also said that she always starts her day with coffee and yoga.

Saumya Tandon

Saumya Tandon, who is known for her portrayal of Anita Mishra in the TV show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain, mentioned that she loves yoga and pilates and likes to keep herself fit by doing those on a regular basis.

Sushant Singh, who received a lot of love for his role in Jeet Ki Zid, shared that he prefers the gym for his fitness, but needs to begin yoga soon because he thinks he’s ageing.

The Naxalbari star, Aamir Ali, said that he usually keeps himself busy with gym and sports and also added that he has been wanting to start doing yoga for the mental peace it gives and aims to execute it soon.

Neha Sharma

Neha Sharma has shared that she too prefers working out in the gym but she also likes practising meditation and yoga.
