Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty has given major fitness goals to her fans and followers with her toned physique. Here is a compilation of three of her Yoga asanas that are good for some fitness motivation!
It’s a no secret that when it comes to fitness, Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty is a frontrunner. From her cookbook filled with healthy recipes to her audio-visual yoga series covering different asanas, Shilpa Shetty has proven that to achieve the fitness goals, an individual has to go an extra mile. While most of today’s Millenials and GenZ are complaining about back pain, Shilpa Shetty is nailing complicated asanas at 45.
The actress isn’t happy at just showing off her skills. Using her social media handle and YouTube channel, she has attempted to teach some easy Yoga asanas to her fans and followers to help them get in shape or just stay healthy during the lockdown. The actor explains the benefits of yoga and each asana she performs as she illustrates them. As the video starts, we can see Shilpa Shetty gearing up to perform the first asana. She stretched her hands at the back and then bend. The Yoga asana Shetty practiced is known as Eka pada Kapotasana. This yoga asana stretches the thighs, hamstrings, groin, abdomen, chest, shoulders, and neck. It also helps the mind and body relieve stress and anxiety.
As the video progress further, in the second bit, we can see Shilpa illustrating Virabhadrasana. This Yoga asana is performed to improve focus, balance and stability. It also encourages good circulation and respiration as a result of which it energizes the entire body. Shilpa is seen performing it four times to give a brief look into how to do it.
In the third and final bit, Shetty performs Surya Namskar. While doing the Surya Namaskar, Shilpa showed how to do all the ten positions of it correctly. Interestingly, she also gave a special touch to it by adding Sirsasana amid it. Between the Adhomukh Svanasan and Ekpad Prasarnasan, she holds Sirsasana for a few seconds and later continues with the rest of the positions. It is said that Surya Namaskar improves the blood circulation of all the important organs of the body and helps in reducing the fat around the abdomen and thus reduces weight.
