6. Meri Jaan Hai Tu

Our choice of a life partner often clashes with that of our parents. Meri Jaan Hai Tu’s Ibad faces a similar problem when his father rejects the idea of him marrying Haniya. While he agrees to marry someone else, he ends up tying the knot with Haniya in the USA after her grandmother’s demise. A furious Uzair, Ibad’s father, blows up in anger. However, Haniya and Ibad decide to win over his parents’ hearts, just like many other couples end up trying to do the same upon facing backlash from either of their families about their relationship.
