Throwback Thursday: When Karthi Spent His Good Old College Days ‘More In The Pallavan Bus’

Karthi’s perfect mix of ability to master commercial roles as well as artistically pleasing ones have earned him a unique spot in the South Indian film industries. The Shakuni actor recently proved the same with his contrasting yet intricate roles in his recent films. The actor who has an ever-growing fanbase most recently put up a throwback picture and it is worth watching.

Karthik Sivakumar better known as Karthi has an interesting social media presence which is limited to his professional updates. However, the actor is beginning to show some change in that as he shared a throwback photo from his college days. In the picture, a young Karthi can be seen posing with his group of friends in a government bus also known as Pallavan bus.

Sharing the picture, Karthi wrote, “Pallavan, the trustworthy friend for Chennai people! My college days were spent more in the bus :)”. Karthi’s post was instantly picked up by fans who found it very hard to spot the actor from the bunch. Many in the comments section wrote that the actor has changed a lot, while the top comment from a fan read, “I really couldn’t find Karthi for 5 sec!”.

Meanwhile, some fans also took the opportunity to ask the actor regarding the health of his actor-brother Suriya. The Singham 3 star had revealed that he has tested positive for Coronavirus, earlier this week. Fans and celebrities had poured in love and wished him a speedy recovery, through social media following the news.

On the work front, Karthi will be next seen sharing screen space with Rashmika Mandanna in Sulthan which will hit the theatres in April. The actor is currently on the sets of his most ambitious project, Ponniyin Selvan. Directed by Mani Rathnam, the period epic will feature Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha and Jayaram alongside Karthi.
