Abhijeet Khandkekar, Nilesh Sable: Maharashtracha Superstar Contestants That Became Famous

Zee Marathi’s Maharashtracha Superstar has returned to the small screen after a nine-year-long hiatus. The show which aired its first season in the year 2010, has come back to make the dreams of aspiring actors come true. The reality show is an open gateway for fame. As per the concept, the young aspirants can audition and once selected, have to showcase their acting skills. The elimination rounds filter these talented aspirants, and the finalist gets selected and becomes Maharashtracha Superstar, winning the coveted trophy.

In the previous season, a few of the contestants who participated, are now big names in the industry. Mazhya Navryachi Bayko actor,  Abhijeet Khandkekar aka Gurunath, is an ex-contestant from the show! What is commendable is that the actor is hosting the current season. Life truly does come full circle, what say?

The actor can be seen in a fresh new avatar which is a break from his image, as Gurunath. Abhijeet is grateful for this new opportunity and thinks the show is the start of his career.

Another actor who is also the winner of the previous season is Nilesh Sable! He is currently seen hosting Zee Marathi’s entertainment show Chala Hawa Yeu Dya. Nilesh has also been seen in many movies before this.

How can we even forget the beautiful Dhanashree Kadgaonkar? The actress mesmerised everyone with her skills in the show and went on to act in movies and television serials, post her stint.  She became famous for her role as Nandita aka ‘Vahinisaheb’ from the show Tuzhat Jeev Rangala.
