Starring Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao, the film is based on true incidents. It revolves around the life of Ramchandra Siras, a professor of the Aligarh Muslim University, who had gotten suspended from the institute for his sexual orientation. Manoj Bajpayee won the Filmfare award and the Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Actor for his performance in this film.

Starring Sanjay Suri, Purab Kohli, and Juhi Chawla, My Brother Nikhil is one of the earliest films of the Hindi film industry to talk about the subject of same-sex relationships. It revolves around the story of Nikhil (Sanjay Suri), who is a swimming champion but is suspended from his team after being diagnosed as HIV positive. The film, 377 Ab Normal, stars Sid Makkar, Maanvi Gagroo, Tanvi Azmi, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kumud Mishra, and Shashank Arora in prominent roles.

Arranged Marriage – Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love is an anthology of four short films, one of which is Arranged Marriage, directed by Pradeep Sarkar. Starring Ali Fazal, Omkar Kapoor, and Patralekha, the film is about Neel (Omkar Kapoor), who is in a romantic relationship with Dev (Ali Fazal). But being unable to come out of the closet, he is forced to marry Dev’s sister, Keya (Patralekha), who is extremely homophobic, and thinks that she can ‘heal’ her husband from it.

While talking in the interview, the two realise that they share a similar feeling about love and their outlook on it.

Akoori is a show, starring Darshan Jariwala, Lillete Dubey, Shadab Kamal, Zoa Morani, Sohrab Sunny, Adi Irani, and Harsh Nagar. All the people in the family have an issue that they find hard to deal with when talking to each other.
