Silence…Can You Hear It, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Prachi Desai and Arjun Mathur will explore the mystery of two murders abd why the husband may not be the killer this time.

Silence – Can You Hear It, is an upcoming murder mystery film on ZEE5. Starring Manoj Bajpayee, Prachi Desai, and Arjun Mathur, the film will revolve around mysterious cases of two murders, which are related to one another, yet take place miles apart. Before Silence premieres on ZEE5, read about a cinematic trope that the film will break.

Watch the trailer of the latest action thriller film of ZEE5, The Power, here:

Often times in movies that revolve around the murder mystery of a married woman, one of the things that get highlighted in its investigation is if the woman’s husband is the murderer. Even if the investigation heads in a different direction, the film does keep a track of the movements and on-goings of her husband, either subtly or by highlighting. However, the premise of Silence seems to be heading in a different way altogether.

Silence – Can You Hear It, will be about the mysterious killings of two women, who are friends. One of the women is Pooja (Barkha Singh), whose body is found on a hill near Mumbai, and another woman is Kavita, who dies at her home. One of the most intriguing facts about their deaths is that both of their bodies are found at places where they are not supposed to be.

Pooja, wanting to surprise her friend Kavita, visits her house in Madh, Mumbai. However, she finds out that Kavita is actually in Pune and only her husband, Ravi Gupta (Arjun Mathur), is home. Pooja then leaves for Pune, to meet Kavita, and Ravi, who is a politician, leaves for work at the same time. What happens next is that Ravi goes back to his house for some work, and finds his wife Kavita falling to her death. Shockingly, Kavita was supposed to be in Pune.

The film will portray how Ravi actually finds his wife falling to her death, and is helpless about the situation since it happens at such a quick pace. While already deeming Ravi as a helpless watcher, the film Silence already conveys that Ravi did not kill his wife Kavita. Also, the fact that he was actually supposed to be in his office and not come back for his minor work, shows the possibility that the real killer might have known of his absence to kill his wife.

Breaking the standard notion of doubting the husband of a married woman who is murdered, Silence will create room for a bigger mystery in place. The film will also explore Ravi Gupta’s political background, which might reveal that had he wanted to kill his wife, he could have done it in a more secretive manner, by which no one would have even come to know about it. This would open more doors to his innocence and the mystery of who might the killer be.

Another intriguing fact about the event would be that since Pooja had visited Kavita’s home, maybe the real killer wanted to kill Pooja and not Kavita? Since Pooja had left for Pune by then, he accidentally (or maybe not so accidentally) killed Kavita. While these thoughts keep creating an intense network of mysteries in our mind, we can only wait for the film’s trailer and the film’s release to calm our restless thoughts.
