“I’m so happy, finally a keeper,” Waters posted on Instagram, in a not-so-subtle swipe at his former wives. In 2018, Waters, who is worth $310 million, told Argentine media outlet Infobae how he met Chavis. Waters met her a couple of years ago during one of his shows. She worked in transportation.  Chavis was Waters’ driver at the Coachella Festival in 2016, where he performed.

They clicked right away and have been together ever since. ‘She is truly beautiful, and she brings him much joy’ says Waters. Waters was in one place for two weeks and there were many transfers between the hotel and the venue. Waters’ security sat in the front with her and they talked, while He stayed in the back. He doesn’t know, something about her attracted him, Waters explained.

When asked how he made his first move, he added, “One day He said ‘excuse me,’ and she turned around. Waters made a move first like this, ‘Did someone ever tell you that you have beautiful cheekbones?’ He saw a little reaction, and that was the beginning.”

From 1968 until 1975, Waters was married to English potter Judy Trim, and then from 1976 to 1992, to British aristocracy Carolyne Christie. From 1993 to 2001, he was married to Priscilla Phillips, the actress from “Frankie and Johnny,” before marrying actress and filmmaker Laurie Durning in 2012. In 2015, he filed for divorce.

Waters, who has enraged many New Yorkers with his loud advocacy for a boycott of Israel over Palestinian rights, owns a 7,000-square-foot East 61st Street mansion with Chavis that he purchased for $15 million in 2007.
