Mugdha Chaphekar is a State Award Winning Indian television and film actress. She has been a part of numerous projects in both Hindi and Marathi films and series. She has a huge fan base and is known to be one of the finest actresses in the television industry today. She currently plays the role of Prachi Mehra in the ongoing successful Zee TV show Kumkum Bhagya.
Early Life And Family:
Mugdha was born on March 24, 1987, in Mumbai, India. She did her schooling at her birthplace, Mumbai, and then graduated from D. G. Ruparel College, Mumbai with a bachelor’s degree in English.
Mugdha Chaphekar is married to her long time boyfriend Ravish Desai. The two tied the knot on December 16, 2016.
Her husband Ravish Desai too is a model and a media personality. They both saw each other on the set of Satrangi Sasural of Zee TV series. After the last episode, they both began dating until they finally got married.
Career:
Mugdha Chaphekar is best known for her role in the Marathi movie The Silence, which also won her the Maharashtra State Prize for the Best Debut Lead.
She has been well recognised for her different television projects. Her performance of Princess Sanyogita in Star Plus’ iconic epic medieval series Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan.
Her popularity revived in 2015 as she featured in Zee TV’s Satrangi Sasural alongside Ravish Desai, whom she got married to in the year 2016.
Since March 2019, Chaphekar has been famous for her role Prachi Mehra in Kumkum Bhagya, a successful show on Zee TV.
For this show, she has received numerous awards for her role. Apart from the television series, she has also worked in the Bollywood industry as a child artist in Aazmayish.
