Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has recently reported that they have decided to replace Kartik Aaryan from their upcoming film, Dostana 2. The film was already in production, and the Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor had completed shooting for 20 days, after which, the production house took this decision. This has also gotten angry reaction from actress Kangana Ranaut, who lashed out at Karan Johar for mistreating Kartik Aaryan for being an outsider.

Reports say that Dharma Productions decided to replace Kartik Aaryan following his creative differences with Karan Johar. They also say that Kartik had been delaying the shoot for a long time, and Karan Johar was also upset with him for completing the shoot of his upcoming Netflix film, Dhamaka, before resuming shoot for Dostana 2. The Dharma Productions have also said that they are having to face a loss of Rs 20 crores for this decision.

However, Kangana Ranaut, who has been very vocal about the nepotism going on in the Hindi film industry, saw the decision being unjust to Kartik Aaryan. Following the event, she tweeted in support of him, saying that he does not need to be scared of the people who are only going to blame his attitude for the fallout. She also lashed out at Karan Johar for mistreating ‘outsiders,’ recalling that something similar had happened to the late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, too.
