Kristin Chenoweth just got engaged to her boyfriend Joshua Bryant after three years of dating, and now fans of the Wicked star want to know who the guy on her arm has been all this time.

Is he from the South?

Josh was born and reared in Arkansas, and he now lives in Nashville, Tennessee. He clearly has some classic “southern boy” traits that he enjoys displaying on his Instagram profile, such as going hunting and fishing with his father and sharing images with friends and family. He often posts adorable photos of his parents and grandparents on social media, frequently commemorating his grandfather who served in the military.

He loves to play with the instrument

Josh began his career as a lead guitarist in 2012 when he and his pals founded the band Backroad Anthem. They are a country-rock band with a large fan base that has played in a variety of settings. The six-piece band is headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and has opened for musicians such as Chris Young and Josh Turner. According to the band’s Instagram, the group’s EP, Feel This Night, will be available for pre-order shortly.

Kristin first met Josh in 2016 at her niece’s wedding, where his band was performing. Kristin’s nephew booked the band for his 2018 wedding, and the two have been in love ever since, despite the fact that Kristin is 53 and Josh is 39. The couple’s age difference does not appear to affect them, as they continue to gain from each other.

Despite the fact that the coronavirus pandemic lockdown tore many couples apart, Kristin and Josh flourished together, strengthening their love in the process.  They also had a good time… doing other things… as the Tony Award winner answered some hot sex life questions from Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live in May 2020. “You know, a woman doesn’t say stuff like that, but it’s been amazing,” she stated at the time. “But don’t be mistaken – it’s been fantastic!”

Broadway direction

Although Josh is more familiar with country music, the 38-year-old has accompanied his bride-to-be on countless Broadway adventures, seeing musicals such as The Lion King, Aladdin, Come From Away, and others. “Took joshbguitar to one of his first shows to celebrate the reopening of Broadway!” Kristin wrote in a recent post’s caption. Josh appears to be studying — and appreciating — the intricacies of his fiancée’s workplace.
