When Banto’s daughter Pakko is about to get married to Murad from Balochistan, she looks relieved and happy. However, Pakko is unhappy as Ranjha creates a misunderstanding between Pakko and Heer. He comes to see Heer from Takht Hazara in a disguise of a bangle-seller and calls himself as Murad. Pakko thinks that her future husband has disguised himself and come to meet her in secret. However, Ranjha clarifies that he’s here for Heer and he is not Murad. This breaks Pakko’s heart and irks Heer too. So everyone in the house tries to cheer up Pakko. Banto tells them that she was about to get married to a Sultan. A phulkari dupatta was gifted to her by the Sultan of Multan. However, the Sultan fell in love with Banto’s friend Razia, and a few days before her wedding day, he married Razia. This news tarnished Banto’s family image and no one was ready to marry her. Heer’s father Shahji (Chuchak Chaudhary) was a good friend of Banto’s brother. He arranged her marriage with his brother, and that’s how she became the choti bahu of Heer’s family.
