Rajaa Betaa goes off the air on 1 November 2019. Fenil talks about co-star Dishank Arora, memories from the sets, doing web series and more.

“Everybody is unhappy because of the way the news was broken,” shares actress Fenil Umrigar. We got in touch with her recently as Rajaa Betaa is all set to go off the air. In an exclusive conversation, Fenil opens up about her journey on the Zee TV show, memories from the sets, doing web series and what’s next on cards.  Summing up her journey, she tells us,” The entire journey of Rajaa Betaa for me would be a very memorable one because of the people around on the sets, the storyline was very good. Playing Pankhuri was a challenge because I am not like her in real life. It was fun!”

She further adds, “However, it has been a beautiful journey and we had a great time. We’d like to thank the production because the crew took care of us in Jaipur really well. Initially, whenever we’d get a day off we’d go around and explore Jaipur. Overall, we had a great time on-set and off-set.”

Read excerpts from our  exclusive chat with Fenil Umrigar below:

Q. How was Dishank Arora to work with?

Dishank Arora and my scenes would come out really well. We made sure they did. We had a very professional bond, nothing after pack-up. But he was great to work with.

Q. Rajaa Betaa is your fourth association with Zee, how has the experience been?

Zee TV has always been kind to me. People still remember me as my character from Kaala Teeka, it was one of my best shows. Besides, nobody has ever celebrated my birthday the way it was done on Rajaa Betaa sets. That is the most cherished memory I will take away from the show.

Q. Everyone is steadily moving to the web. Do you plan to as well?

These days a lot of web series have bold content. Apart from that, if it’s a comedy web series, I can do those. But bold content is a big NO for me!
