Britney Spears on Cloud 9 after court removes father Jaime Spears as her conservator

Britney Spears is on Cloud 9 literally as she was seen flying a plane. She expressed her jubilation as the conservatorship placed on the singer was finally suspended by the court on Wednesday. Britney Spears took to Instagram posting a picture of her flying a plane. ‘First time flying a plane and a proper plane’, she posted the video of her handling the throttle but of course, a trained pilot is nearby her.

Her fans reacted to the post with hearts and likes. It has crossed 589,638 likes within four hours. ‘This is your moment. Live your life, you are free’ posted one of her fans. The Los Angeles Court on Wednesday removed her father Jamie Spears as conservator of her estate. The judge said that the arrangement was no longer in the best interest of the singer. Britney Spears was placed under conservatorship in 2008. Spear’s father Jamie Parnell Spears was given the conservatorship over her career, personal life, and finances.

Britney was running into rough patches of her life with the crisis in her personal life then. And, Jamie filed for conservatorship on his daughter. In 2019, an online social movement #FreeBritney was initiated to grant the Princess of Pop autonomy from her conservatorship. After the prolonged legal tussle, Jamie recently filed a petition to remove the conservatorship over Britney’s life and finances.

As the Los Angeles court took up the case on Wednesday, #FreeBritney supporters gathered in front of the court with signboards. It was not clear how the singer was coping with the 13-years of conservatorship but the world learned in June this year that she was finding it abusive. She told the court then that she wanted her life back. During that hearing in June, the judge granted permission to Britney Spears to hire her counsel.

The prolonged court battle ended up in favor of Britney as the court finally suspended the conservatorship. Britney Spears announced her engagement with personal trainer-turned-actor Sam Asghari on Sept 12. The duo had been dating since 2016 after meeting on the set of ‘Slumber Party’ music video. The engagement thrilled her fans and supporters alike. But Britney Spears surprised her followers when she deleted her Instagram recently. But she returned within six days posting new pictures of her engagement vacation.
