Bread, Love And Dreams: Watch South Korea’s Popular TV Show Dubbed In Hindi On ZEE5 (Free)

Starring Yoon Shi-yoon, Eugene, Joo Won and Lee Young-ah, Bread, Love and Dreams is a 2010 South Korean television series. It takes you through the genres of drama and romance to tell the story of how Kim Takgu, a determined young boy overcomes many trials on his journey of becoming the best baker in Korea. Set in the years of 1970 to 1990, it starts just after his conception and finishes when he reaches his mid-20s. It is considered the breakout role of Yoon Shi-yoon, catapulting him to immense popularity as well as receiving much praise for his sincere acting. Kim Takgu is the eldest son of Gu II Jong and Kim Misun, his mistress. Kim Takgu’s father is the chairman of Geosung Foods Enterprise, whose wife is Insok. The latter is furious with her husband for having an extra-marital affair and shuns Kim Takgu away. When his biological mother is kidnapped, Kim Takgu runs away from home and spends the next 12 years looking for her. On his journey, he enters a baking school owned by Pal Bong who is a legend in the baking industry. Coincidentally, he was Takgu’s father’s teacher!

In the school, Takgu finds Jo Jingu, the man who had kidnapped his mother and now says that she fell off a cliff accidentally. Takgu then learns the art of making bread as his father did. Later, Takgu learns that his mother is not dead and is looking for him. But Takgu’s half-brother Majun is also at the school under a false identity. The Chairman had spent 14 years looking for his son Takgu and now gets furious at Majun for not telling him the truth. Majun did so because he wanted himself to be the family business heir and not Takgu!

But the Chairman wants his eldest son Takgu to be the heir. Majun plots to steal Takgu’s childhood friend to hurt him emotionally. Takgu eventually finds his mother but his stepmother and her lover Han attempt to murder Takgu. He is saved by Jo Jingu, his mother’s kidnapper. Then, Takgu and Manju arrive at a consensus to let their older sister Gu Jakyung run the company. It’s a happy ending when Takgu becomes a renowned baker and the Chairman finds joy in his loved ones’ choices!
