5 Times When Luthras Blamed Preeta For Their Problems In Kundali Bhagya

Kundali Bhagya‘s Preeta Luthra (Shraddha Arya) is the Choti bahu of the Luthra family. While Choti bahus tend to have much lesser responsibilities and issues, Preeta has too many of them. She is also blamed for a lot of problems on the show simply because she makes for an easy target and she gets involved in everything. Preeta loves fiercely and she loves the Luthras like her own family. She only wants the best for them and fights back when anyone with evil intentions enters their life. But, she is never appreciated enough and has in turn, time and again been held responsible for many incidents! Take a look at some of them:

When Akshay broke his marriage alliance with Kritika

When Preeta saw Akshay meeting with other girls while being engaged to Kritika (Twinkle Vasisht), she got suspicious and followed him around. She took Sammy (Abhishek Kapur) and Shrishti’s (Anjum Fakih) help and they discovered that Akshay is a total womaniser who already has a girlfriend and a wife while he’s about to marry Kritika. When Preeta finally managed to uncover his truth to the family with proof, Kareena burned it in the wedding fire and scolded Preeta for her behaviour. Akshay then made it sound like the Luthras don’t trust him enough and he decided to break the alliance. So, Kritika’s broken marriage was then blamed on Preeta!

Rishabh’s marriage to Sherlyn

Back when Rishabh (Manit Joura) and Sherlyn (Ruhi Chaturvedi) were to get married, Karan (Dheeraj Dhoopar) and Preeta had first joined forces to stop this from happening. They discover that Sherlyn has a lover and could be pregnant with his child too. Preeta makes lots of efforts to prevent this, but Sherlyn causes her accident and Preeta is not able to reach the Luthra house in time to stop the wedding. Karan, who was banking on her arrival gets annoyed and begins to hate her. He then blames her for “ruining Rishabh’s life.”

When Sarla and Preeta reveal Sherlyn’s truth

Sarla is kidnapped and tortured by Sherlyn and Prithvi (Sanjay Gagnani). They also cause an accident which causes serious injuries to Preeta. But when Sarla and Preeta reveal Sherlyn’s ill doings, they are not trusted. Instead, Rakhi ousts Preeta from the house. Preeta is then left wondering what she did to deserve this. Sarla forbids Preeta from going back to the Luthra house after this incident. Rakhi and Kareena then blame Preeta and her family for maligning their “bahu” Sherlyn.

When Mahesh is in a coma

Prithvi’s family puts pressure on the Aroras to finish the wedding as soon as possible. Hence Preeta and Prithvi are to be married around the time when Mahesh Luthra falls into a state of coma. Karan blames this on Preeta as well, although the real culprit is Sherlyn, for pushing Mahesh down the stairs. But, Karan blames Preeta and pins all his hatred on her. He gets livid when she tells him that she is marrying Prithvi. And to seek his “revenge” Karan replaces Prithvi in the mandap and gets married to her.

When Preeta marries Karan 

Instead of Mahira (Swati Kapoor), Preeta sits next to Karan in the wedding rituals because she is afraid that Mahira will join forces with Sherlyn and kill Mahesh and also destroy the Luthra family. The Luthras are unaware of Mahira’s reality and her ally, Sherlyn. Preeta only tries to save them, but she is insulted and berated, not just by Kareena but even by Rakhi. Karan too insults her but Preeta does not pay heed to any of this because she did it to save the family. Besides, Karan and she were already married!
