Shamshad Begum gains consciousness. Razia asks Fatima to prepare for last rites. Razia doesn't shed any tears. She blames Mirza for taking her away from her loved ones during the time of need and tells him to leave. Yildiz, along with Turkan and Rukn-ud-din, plans to kill Iltutmish with a poison-laced knife. Mirza is about to leave, when Fatima explains to him that Razia is alive because of him. She begs him to help Razia. Mirza brings flowers to the funeral.
