Shareef-ud-din and his gang almost reach Jodha's chamber through the tunnel with the aim to kill Jodha and Akbar. Just then, Resham arrives with some news but Akbar gets furious seeing him there. Hearing the commotion, Shareef-ud-din and his gang return and on the way, Shareef-ud-din kills one of his men. Later, Akbar notices the tunnel and decides to investigate further. Shareef pretends to be loyal towards Akbar and says that he was in the tunnel to kill those who are trying to kill him. Akbar doubts his loyalty and asks his men to keep a watch on Shareef-ud-din. Shareef's father hears this and tells his son that Akbar has begun to doubt him.
