Tansen and Mahesh Das are ready for the challenge to show their skills in which they are not familiar with. Tansen, the most talented singer in the Mughal kingdom, decides to make everyone laugh using his wit. Mahesh Das, known for his intelligence and fantastic sense of humour, decides to sing in front of Akbar and others that have assembled. Mahesh Das wins the challenge using his wit and even Tansen agrees that Mahesh Das, who will later be known as Birbal, is superior as far as talent is considered. The joyous atmosphere suddenly takes a turn when Jodha comes to know that her baby is not doing well and might have been poisoned. The show also highlights on how Mughal emperor Jalal ud-din Muhammad acquires the title of Akbar from the people.
