For the first time, Saleem takes part in the proceedings of the court. When he sees his father announce a death penalty as punishment for a person who is guilty, he gets shocked. He convinces Akbar to change the punishment and listening to Saleem, Akbar changes his judgement and gives them life imprisonment. That evening, Nadira's family is invited for dinner. So Nadira gets the opportunity to go around the kingdom. In the meantime, Saleem tells his mother Jodha that his father is afraid of him and because of it he changed the judgement. Nadira and Saleem again meet and Saleem refuses to let her roam around the kingdom and Nadira goes on to make fun of his crown that does not fit his head well.
