Akbar is in a romantic mood but Jodha talks about the incidents that had taken place the previous night. Later, while Akbar is speaking to Saleema Begum and Jodha Begum, Rukaiyya Begum comes in and asks Akbar to take back the responsibilities of the haram that he had earlier handed over to her. Rukaiyya is upset that Akbar stood against her decision that she had made against Nadira's father. Akbar later explains the entire matter to Rukaiyya. Meanwhile, Saleem and Murad get into a fight while playing a game of chess and just then, Akbar enters. They try to fool Akbar and begin to hug each other but Akbar does not get fooled and instead asks them to learn some art that is required on the battlefield. Later. Saleem and his other cousins try to bring down a fruit from the tree with the help of their bows and arrows. All the cousins mock Saleem when he does not manage to shoot the fruit down.
