As the distance between Saleem and Anarkali seems to be reducing, both of them start loving each other. Meanwhile, with a heavy heart, Jodha goes forward with all the rituals to welcome Bela into the new family and just then, she notices her crying. Jodha speaks to Bela personally and asks her as to why she is crying as it was her decision to marry Akbar. Bela confesses to Jodha that she was forced by her father to marry the King inspite of her defiance. Jodha goes to Akbar and informs this, and upon hearing this, he begins to laugh. When asked, Akbar replies to Jodha that he had promised to marry Bela only if she agrees and since it has now been revealed that the tribal King had forced Bela, he can decide against the marriage.
