Salim finds his horse awake and tells about going for a ride to lighten his heart. Just then, Anarkali shows up and tells Salim that when a slave is present for him, then why he wants to lighten his heart with a horse. Salim tells Anarkali that he would be going for a battle and it would not affect anything if he dies there or returns back safe. Later, Akbar gathers his soldiers and gives instructions that they are not supposed to kill their enemy in the battle.
