Akbar invites Salim to celebrate their victory in their first battle and praises his bravery and also sees the wound on his hand. Akbar asks Salim to show his hand so that it can be mended. But Salim tells Akbar that a soldier's wounds are an identity. Akbar then talks about the time when he was young and he used to talk exactly like Salim and as Jodha came into his life, she started healing his wounds.
