Menka leaves for the market and a while later, Halki goes into labour. Phulki tells Pavitra that Halki needs to be admitted to the hospital, so Pavitra asks her to take Halki to a government hospital. Phulki gets angry and tells Pavitra that the one who could not be her husband's will obviously not help others. A worried Phulki phones Savitri. Hasmukh asks the family not to help her but Baa orders him to come along. Phulki delivers the baby. The nurse informs her that she has delivered a baby girl. Phulki feels bad hearing the news. Baa welcomes the baby warmly and says that she will not repeat the mistake of rejecting a girl child. Hasmukh blames Phulki for not fulfilling her promise of giving him a boy. He says that the baby girl is inauspicious for him and he will not see its face! Phulki is shattered. Lakshmi and her sisters promise Halki to convince Hasmukh. On the other hand, Hasmukh prays to God saying he is very happy about getting a baby girl but has to pretend to be angry to teach Halki a lesson. The girls overhear this. Hasmukh meets his newborn baby and gets emotional. Meanwhile, Menka returns and the cook informs her about Halki's baby. A delighted Menka is set to leave for the hospital with gifts. Pavitra warns her that neither can she go to the hospital nor the house will be decorated! Menka asserts that nobody can stop her today, leaving Pavitra fuming.
