Lakshmi over-exerts and ends up having high fever. However, she decides that she must not let anyone know about it and takes medication. Ranbir phones Lakshmi and gives her the address in Mumbai just to be on the safe side, but promises to fetch her from the railway station. Lakshmi gets ready to leave for Mumbai. She falls asleep in the train and when she gets up the next morning, she is alarmed and devastated to see her luggage and purse missing! Her fellow passengers pacify her and ask her to alight at the station from where Ranbir is supposed to fetch her. However, Ranbir gets stuck in a traffic jam. Meanwhile, the Ticket Collector asks Lakshmi for her ticket, so she pleads with him to wait till her relative arrives but he does not heed her. Lakshmi is asked to pay the penalty. Lakshmi pleads with the officer about her innocence, so he eventually relents. On the other hand, a worried Ranbir wonders where Lakshmi is, so he phones Saraswati to ask about her. Saraswati tells him that Lakshmi has the auditorium address and may have gone there. Ranbir leaves for the auditorium and Lakshmi misses him again. Lakshmi wanders around till dark and then meets an elder man in a car who volunteers to drop her to the auditorium. The man suddenly stops his car in the middle of nowhere! Is Lakshmi in big trouble now?
