Kshitij suggests that they go home and decide their next course of action. The girls tell Kshitij that they must take back their factory from Balwant Chhabra, but he cautions them to tread carefully because Balwant is a dreaded kingpin. He also mentions about Balwant being an ardent cricket fan. Meanwhile, Savitri consults a priest to find a suitable boy for Gauri and he assures her that Gauri will soon find a good boy. Later, Niyati goes into labour. At the hospital, Menka prays that it is a boy as he would carry the family name forward but Savitri only prays for a healthy baby. Menka is so disappointed when she hears that Niyati has given birth to a girl that she refuses to even carry the baby. Savitri convinces Menka not to discriminate, and soon Menka is overwhelmed holding the baby. Menka misses Yuvraj terribly. The baby is named Prateeksha. Savitri decides to hold a grand ceremony to celebrate the birth of the baby. Kshitij later tells the others that they don't have money for the ceremony but Saraswati insists that they hold it. Saraswati suggests that they meet Balwant Chhabra. Gauri overhears the conversation and says that even she will accompany them and meet Balwant. They go to Balwant's bungalow but the guard informs them that Balwant hates women! They meet Kartar Singh, Balwant's man. Just then, they hear an angry Balwant cursing, little realising that he is actually watching only a cricket match!
