Saraswati demands to know from Devyani how she had dared to come to their house with Akash! Devyani replies that Akash wants to apologise. Devyani surprises the Garodias by seeking Gauri's hand in marriage for Akash! Akash apologises to Gauri for his grave mistake and says that his mother and he need her. Savitri tells Devyani that they will go ahead with the proposal only if Gauri agrees. Gauri rejects the proposal. Saraswati and Savitri convince Gauri that Akash had apologised in front of everyone, so he was repentant. Devyani requests Gauri not to refuse the proposal and promises to keep her happy. Gauri relents. Devyani suggests that they fix the marriage for the following week. Savitri summons Yuvraj to perform the tradition of a male member welcoming Akash but Gauri suggests that Kshitij perform it. Menka and Yuvraj feel bad. Later, Savitri promises to have a grand wedding for Gauri. Yuvraj tells Menka that he will wait till his family forgives him. Meanwhile, Devyani tells Akash that she is sure that even if she is no more, Gauri will take good care of him. However, Akash is unhappy about the marriage. The next day, Yuvraj is walking on the road when he spots Akash walking arm in arm with a girl!
