Hema informs Shalu about Harsh's threat to Vidya. The next day at the breakfast table, Harsh tells Chandra that any girl, irrespective of whether she is married or not, can observe a fast if she believes in true love. Chandra and Mahua mock Vidya for keeping a fast for a madman Sagar but Sindoora asks Vidya to go ahead and fast. Sindoora tells them that she wants to test if Vidya's fast has the power to bring Sagar and her closer or whether Sindoora's fast has the power to separate the two forever! Uma explains to Sagar the importance of the fast. Sagar goes to eat, so Sindoora asks him not to take favours from Vidya and asks him also to fast for her. Sagar refuses to have the medicines either, so Uma asks Sindoora to feed him but she refuses. Uma gifts Vidya a sari and jewellery on the occasion of `Karva Chauth'. Harsh insists that Vidya wear the sari that he has brought for her. When she protests, he threatens her again. Just then, Harsh gets a phone call and he gets busy talking. Vidya leaves. Chandra comes there and assumes the sari is for her! Chandra is delighted! At the function, Sagar dances with the women and collapses out of exhaustion. Bharat informs Uma that Sagar had been fasting the entire day. Sagar tells Vidya that because she is fasting for him, he was doing the same. Sagar passes out, so Sindoora warns Vidya that she must break her fast if she wants to see Sagar alive! What will Vidya do now?
