Vidya prays to God to let her speak to her mother. Just then, Kaushalya phones and Vidya is happy. Vidya lies that everyone is treating her well and she is very happy. Kaushalya too lies that Hema has been looking after her well. The man at the telephone booth disconnects the phone and demands Rs.40 from Kaushalya. On the other hand, while Sagar is playing, the ball goes under the shelf, so Vidya goes to fetch it but gets the bundle of money instead! Uma is surprised. Sagar holds Vidyas hand and shouts to Sindoora that he has caught the thief! Uma tells Sindoora that Vidya had got the money suddenly but Sagar denies it. Vidya pleads innocence. Sagar threatens Vidya that he will not talk to her if she does not apologise to Sindoora, so Vidya obliges. Sagar forces her to also say that she will never steal again. After Vidya goes away, Sindoora praises him. Vidya overhears Sindoora saying that Mahuas foolishness was not revealed and Vidya had got humiliated too because of Sagar. Sindoora sees Vidya and accuses her of eavesdropping. Vidya asks her why she hates her so much that she had left her deceased fathers religious ceremony incomplete only to humiliate her. Sindoora vows vengeance for Vidyas last statement! Meanwhile, Hema warns Kaushalya not to step out of the house or inform Vidya about anything. Hema reminds her that Harsh was still around! On the other hand, Cheenu regrets that he was not able to stand by Vidya like a dutiful brother-in-law. Vidya tells Uma and him that she is confident about winning over her sisters-in-law someday despite being a village bumpkin. Uma asks Vidya to go to the kitchen and cook for the first time. Vidya promises Sindoora to keep her tastes in mind. Meanwhile, Mahua tells Kartik that she would like to get pregnant, so he pretends to be worried about getting a child like Sagar. Mahua is about to say how Sagar turned out to be intellectually deficient but stops short. Later, Mahua praises Sindoora for having Sagar wrapped around her finger. Chandra says that Sagar can even give up his life for her. Sindoora promises never to let anyone come close to him.
