People at the wedding hall leave and taunt that an illiterate girl like Vidya deserves a groom like Sagar! Raghav tries to explain but Vidya walks away. Radha blames herself for misinterpreting the letter and apologises to Vidya. Hema is delighted that the wedding did not take place and makes plans to get Shalu married to Sagar, for greed of wealth. On the other hand, Raghav regrets that Uma and he had not personally informed Vidya about Sagars condition. Uma suggests that they apologise to Vidya but just then, Sindoora turns up with her sisters. Sindoora accuses Uma of indeed being a stepmother because she had refused to heed her advice not to get her son, Sagar, married. Sindoora orders her father to pack his bags immediately because they will return to Delhi immediately! Kaushalya is devastated and says that they will demand an explanation from Raghav for the humiliation. Cheenu arrives then and says that his uncle had written about Sagars condition in a letter to her. Cheenu further says that Sagar had turned this way only 6 months back. He requests Vidya to meet his uncle just once, or Raghav would die with the guilt. Raghav gets worried seeing Sagar in a playful mood and wonders that who will marry him and look after him. Hema comes there and promises that Shalu will look after Sagar but Raghav rejects the proposal. Meanwhile, Sindoora and her sisters get curious why their father was still at the temple. On the other hand, Raghav is about to leave when Vidya comes to the temple. Raghav and Uma apologise to Vidya and say that they felt she was the right choice for Sagar because she would never leave by Sagars side. Raghav then asks her to start life afresh but Kaushalya demands to know who will marry Vidya now! Raghav breaks down before her. Vidya goes up to Sagar and promises him that never to leave him alone again. Raghav and Uma are thrilled!
