Anupriya asks Malhar to break off the marriage with Kalyani, but Kalyani says that she is marrying him out of her own free will. Kalyani remembers the promise she made to Malhar to marry him in order to save Anupriya's life. Anupriya tells Kalyani that if she marries Malhar then she would disown her as her daughter. Kalyani decides to marry Malhar for Anupriya's safety. After the marriage, Malhar laments Sampada's death.
