Sam helps her friend, Akansha, flee from her wedding in a bid to get her married to Drake. Sam’s mother, Gurleen, gets nostalgic about her past and misses her family back in India who disowned her.

Gurleen misses her family and cries bitterly while Sam’s aunt, Loveleen worries about her daughter, Preet’s wedding. Loveleen has an argument with Gurleen’s mother, Beeji about Gurleen’s marriage.

Sam’s father, Chris, discourages Sam from trying to reach out to Gurleen’s family back in India. Elsewhere, Pukhraj has an argument with his mother about Gurleen’s distraught mother.

Lovely fervently prepares to host Preet’s prospective groom and Pukhraj’s mother, Bani has an argument with her husband. Elsewhere, Gurleen learns about Sam’s visit to India.

Lovely worries about Preet as the latter speaks with her prospective groom, Amrit, alone. Sam sets out for India as the Walias perform Preet’s roka. Soon, Beeji receives Sam’s call and hears her.

Sam learns about Preet’s engagement but fails to talk to Param. Gurleen’s mother, Navjot, hands over her bangles to Preet and pledges to give the other set to Pukhraj’s wife. Soon, Lovely colludes.

Navjot urges Bani to summon Meher for Preet’s engagement. Lovely learns about Sam’s arrival from a friend. Later, Lovely lies to Pukhraj about Sam and sends him to the airport to pick her up.

Bani argues with her husband, Gurbaksh, and criticises Param’s shortcomings while denouncing their ties with Navjot’s family. Sam meets her namesake who happens to be the daughter of Lovely’s friend.

Pukhraj has an argument with Sam and the duo board a truck together as Pukhraj loses his car keys. Meanwhile, Navjot prepares ‘Kada Prashad’ after twenty-five years. Soon, Sam reaches Gurleen’s house.

Sam walks into Navjot’s house and Lovely greets her happily as she confuses Sam with her friend’s daughter. Well along, Sam walks into Navjot’s room and receives Gurleen’s call from there.

Sam and Pukhraj have an awkward encounter. However, the former tries to subdue the misunderstanding. Soon, Amrit and Preet get engaged. Later, Navjot finds fault with Sam.

Navjot publicly affronts Sam for her choice of clothing and calls out Sam’s upbringing in front of her family. Pukhraj diffuses the situation by distracting Navjot and Lovely tries to pacify Sam.

Sam plans on telling Navjot about being Gurleen’s daughter and Lovely lauds Sam in front of her family. In a shocking turn of events, Preet's engagement stops midway because of a picture.

The mother of Preet’s would-be groom slings mud on Preet’s character and refuses to pay heed to Lovely’s request. Later, Sam steps in and tries to defend Gurleen but Navjot interjects sorrowfully.

Gurleen prepares a traditional meal in the memory of Navjot. Meanwhile, Navjot wishes death upon Gurleen. Soon, Gurleen falls ill and calls Sam up. However, Sam lies to Gurleen about being accepted.

Sam cries at the thought of leaving Navjot’s house while Gurbaksh plans to oust Sam, but Lovely argues. Sam packs her bags with a heavy heart and faces Pukhraj’s ire. Soon, Sam begs before Navjot.

Sam dejectedly walks out of Navjot’s house as Navjot watches her leave while deeming Pukhraj’s actions acceptable. Meanwhile, Preet tries to commit suicide and Sam rushes to her rescue.

Sam extends her arms to embrace Navjot but the latter looks through Sam. Later, Sam tells her father about her ordeal with Pukhraj. In the interim, Bani looks for a foreigner bride for Pukhraj.

Bani and Gurbaksh catch their daughter, Mahi, stealing money from their room. The next day, Sam tails Navjot as the latter does her morning routine. Soon, Sam and Pukraj help Preet at Lovely’s behest.

Lovely tells Sam that Preet’s quest for love might upset Navjot and Sam stops Pukhraj from revealing the truth to Navjot. Well along, Sam manages to take Preet to Sudheer Sweets.

Preet’s former fiancé, Amreek, finally apologises to Preet. Meanwhile, Navjot questions Lovely as she worries about Preet and Sam. Well along, Mahi has an altercation with Navjot in front of Gurbaksh.

Aman plans to borrow money from his father for his girlfriend as Bani criticises Preet. Later, Sam faces Navjot’s ire for returning home late and Gurleen gets nostalgic over a phone call with Sam.

Navjot opens a trunk of her husband’s belongings and urges her family to give away the contents of the trunk in charity. Elsewhere, Amreek calls Preet and invites her on a date. Later, Sam saves Mahi.

Pukhraj spends time with Sam as Amreek spends time alone with Preet. Well along, Sam picks out lights for Navjot while Gurbaksh looks through Sam’s luggage but Lovely interjects.

A gang of goons tail Sam and plan to abduct her after an altercation. Meanwhile, Preet and Amreek spend some romantic time together. Sam notices Aman handing out money to his girlfriend.
