The arrangements for Parag's wedding begin at the house in Sreerampore. Elsewhere, Shimul gets worried thinking if she will be able to continue her dance post marriage.

Parag's mother asks him to mix water in the bottle of Alta. Shimul's brothers get upset on learning that she had gone for her dance classes. Later, Shimul remembers her father and gets emotional.

Shimul's in-laws go for the 'Ashirbad' ceremony. Putul's behaviour surprises Mishti. Parag's mother comments about Shimul's friends in front of Kajari. The latter taunts her about Pratiksha.

All pass remarks seeing the necklace which Parag's mother gifts Shimul. Putul speaks about her mother gifting a used sari as a wedding gift. A hurt Shimul tells her mother that she won't return home.

Parag video calls Shimul and apologises for Putul's behaviour. Shimul gives a fitting reply to her prospective mother-in-law's taunt. She says that she doesn't like men who have a weak personality.

Palash protests when Putul shouts at Pratiksha. Anasuya tells Shimul that Shatadru returned from Delhi and sent a gift for her. She tells Anasuya that she wants to start her life afresh.

Shimul, a city-bred girl, tries to blend into her husband’s joint family after marriage. Her journey is supported by her new neighbours with whom she forms an unbreakable friendship.

Before the pre-wedding function of 'Gaye Holud' begins, Shatadru wishes to speak to Shimul once. The attendees of the function find it odd when Shimul speaks over the phone with someone.

Shimul's friends try to cheer her up when she sulks thinking about Shatadru. When Parag's neighbours ask him to take a little more money for the wedding, his mother protests.

Before going to get married, Parag tells his mother that he will never change. Shimul cries thinking about Shatadru. Kajari feels bad when her mother-in-law, a widow, doesn't do the 'Boron' ritual.

Shimul and Parag's wedding ceremony begins. Putul suddenly says that Palash's friends are wasting food. Shimul tells Parag that she won't get married until the people stop wasting food.

Shimul tells Parag that he will not sit at the dais unless Palash's friends apologise to him. Everyone apologises to Shimul when he shares a picture on social media. Later, the marriage commences.

Parag remarks that girls from respectable households do not dance but Shimul protests against his idea. He dislikes singing and dancing at the event. Later, the family prepares for Shimul's departure.

Parag's family does the 'Ashirbad' ceremony with Shimul. Parag objects when Kajari asks Shimul to visit home. Later, Putul asks Shimul to fight for her rights and claim what is meant for her.

On the way to Parag's house, Shimul takes her head out of the car to see the Ganges but he stops her. Parag gets annoyed when Shimul gives chocolates to the neighbourhood children.

Shimul hears an earful for distributing chocolates to the children from the neighbourhood. Parag's aunt performs the 'Boron' ritual. Shimul protests when her mother-in-law calls her family 'beggars'.

Shimul tries to distribute sweets amongst her in-laws which her family has sent. Parag's mother gets annoyed when Kajari and Shimul's mother calls. She asks Shimul's mother to restrict her calls.

Putul gives company to Shimul during the 'Kalratri'. Putul tells Shimul that she loves kids and that she will introduce her doll too. Shimul tells her that she will find her a prince charming soon.

In the 'Bhat Kapor' ceremony, Parag's mother insults Shimul and later, taunts her for adding excess Ghee in the Pulao. Parag gets mad when Shimul says that she will take his family's responsibility.

When Palash insults Shimul, she gives him a fitting reply. Tutul helps Shimul get ready. Putul compliments Shimul by saying that she likes the latter because of her courage to stand up for herself.

The neighbours give a fitting reply to Parag’s mother when she cribs about Tutul helping Shimul get ready. Shimul gets emotional seeing her mother had the post-wedding function.

When Shimul's family visits, Palash immediately speaks about the watch. Kajari says that they won't be able to afford the watch that he likes. Later, Parag's mother complains about Shimul.

On their wedding night, Parag tells Shimul that his mother is the most important person for him. Shimul gifts Parag a ring. Parag's mother pretends to have chest pain and sleeps on the couple's bed.

Shimul gifts a sari to Tutul and a bag to Putul. She refuses to give her father's watch away. When Parag's mother asks Shimul to give her gold, she refuses and says that it belongs to her.

Parag's mother tries to stop Shimul from visiting her home for the post-wedding ritual. However, Shimul gives her a fitting reply and later, visits her house.
