Karan takes Lakshmi out for a candle light dinner. She asks him to tell her what had happened to his father, so he insists that she finish her drink first. Lakshmi gulps it, and a triumphant Karan informs her that he had spiked her drink with poison because he wanted her to experience the fear of death like his father had! Karan then tells her how Raman had consumed poison and killed himself, and left his mother to live like a vegetable. Karan then says that he wouldn't let Lakshmi die so soon because he would torture her every single day! He promises to destroy her and her family, and says that he has other resources too, to finish off her sinister father! Meanwhile, Menka complains to Yuvraj about Kajri making her dance like a courtesan. Kajri lies that Menka danced, only to create a rift between him and her! Menka denies it, so Kajri asks him to question Halki and Phulki about the truth. Phulki replies that Pavitra was speaking the truth! Yuvraj gets angry and warns Menka never to accuse his wife again! On the other hand, Savitri feels bad seeing Suryakant wear torn clothes. Meanwhile, Lakshmi tells Karan that his hatred cannot erase their love, and promises to prove her father's innocence! Kajri and Rasilibai are shocked to see Suryakant as a salesman in a sari shop. They taunt him about his status and order him around to humiliate him. They disapprove of every sari, so the shop proprietor assures Kajri that the new stock would arrive in the evening. Kajri insists that only Suryakant bring the new lot to her house! Suryakant is shocked!
