Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Good Luck Jerry’ Shooting In Punjab Gets Affected Due To Ongoing Farmers’ Protest

The shooting of Janhvi Kapoor’s film Good Luck Jerry was put to a halt after some farmers insisted that she should make a comment on the ongoing protest. Read on to know.

Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor recently jetted off to Punjab to begin shooting for her upcoming venture, Good Luck Jerry. However, whilst prepping up for the same, a group of protesters created havoc amid the shooting and demanded a public statement from her in support of the protesting farmers. After this, Janhvi took to Instagram and issued her statement about the farmers. Read on to know what exactly happened.

As per ANI, a group of farmers gathered at Bassi Pathana city where the shooting of her movie was going on. They told the crew that Bollywood actors have never supported them and have spoken nothing about their plight. A local police officer, Balwinder Singh, was quoted saying that they went back after the film director assured them that Janhvi Kapoor would make a comment on the protest. After this, the team resumed their shooting again. Janhvi on Thursday took to Instagram and wrote, “Farmers are at the heart of our country. I recognise and value the role that they play in feeding our nation. I hope a resolution is reached soon that benefits the farmers.”
Speaking about the movie, Good Luck Jerry is being produced by Aanand L Rai and is helmed by Siddharth Sengupta. In the upcoming outing, Janhvi will be seen playing the role of a simple girl. The film is a remake of the 2018 Tamil drama titled Kolamavu Kokila that stars Nayanthara in the lead. Recently, Kapoor shared a BTS photo and soon fans flooded the comments section with love. Manav Vij lauded the star and wrote, “Wish u all the best-keep shinning always as usual,” whereas a user wrote, “I know you will make us proud my girl.”
Janhvi Kapoor debuted in Bollywood in 2018 with her appearance in the romantic drama titled Dhadak, opposite Ishaan Khatter. After this, she was seen in Ghost Stories and several other projects. Speaking about her social media updates, her recent dance video went viral in no time. While showcasing her moves, she wrote, “Missing post burrito belly dance session.” Manish Malhotra, Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, and others dropped endearing comments.
