Vikram Bhatt & Mahesh Bhatt To Collaborate For ‘Cold’ After Two Decades

Popular Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt is once again going to collaborate with Sadak 2 director Mahesh Bhatt in his upcoming horror venture. Vikram Bhatt, on Monday, February 8, officially announced his next horror flick titled Cold. Reportedly, this upcoming project is penned by Mahesh Bhatt in collaboration with Suhrita Sen Gupta. For the unversed, Cold will reunite the Bhatt pair almost after two decades.

Vikram Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt last worked on the horror film, Raaz starring Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea. Mahesh Bhatt wrote the script of the film and it emerged out to have a successful run at the cinema houses. Now, with the duo’s collaboration, expectation with Cold has raised high. While talking to a leading daily, Vikram expressed that he aims at reinventing the horror genre with his upcoming project.

“The world has gone through a harrowing time in the past one year and there is a need for a collective catharsis and Cold is going to provide the viewers with that. I am going to reinvent the horror genre with my mentor Mahesh Bhatt twenty years after Raaz, once again with Cold. I promise the scariest ride in our cinema till date,” he said in a statement.

According to the creators of Cold, the plot of this upcoming film will revolve around a life of a woman who emerges from a traumatic time. The story will narrate her struggle to survive alone in a big city, surrounded by an eerie force. At the danger of losing her life, she puts a massive fight to endure what comes ahead of her.

Actor Akshay Oberoi and Anisha Pahuja have been recruited to essay the lead roles in the film. Vikram who has previously helmed hit horror projects including 1920, Raaz and more have already begun shooting his next. As per reports, the filming of the film has already commenced in Mumbai. The project is bankrolled by Krishna Bhatt and Amar Thakkar under the banner of Loneranger Films. Now, as the collaboration has been made official, fans are eagerly waiting to watch what is kept in store for them.
