Takkar is a drama movie showing the trouble in the love story of a young couple. This is due to the political rivalry between their fathers. Having met in college, Preeti and Abhijit fall for each other and want to marry. However, their fathers want them to stay away from each other. The Marathi movie shows how hostility between two individuals can have lasting impacts on the lives of people around them, even those distantly connected to their world.

Takkar Movie Plot

The plot of the movie shows the political competition between an MLA, Saphale and a businessman, BK at the centre. Preeti, Saphale’s daughter, loves Abhijit, BK’s adopted son. However, both their guardians want them to marry someone else and stay as far away from each other as possible. They are not the only people getting affected by their hostility. They also influence college students and their politics, thereby making Bhupendra, BK’s employee and his college professor's wife fools. Suddenly, Saphale dies, further intensifying the chaotic situation.
