Manthan

Inspired by the pioneering milk co-operative movement of Verghese Kurien, this film traces the origins of the movement through its fictionalised narrative, based around rural empowerment. The story revolves around a young veterinary surgeon, Dr. Rao, who makes a visit to a village, where he intends to commence a co-operative society dairy for the betterment of the rural people.
