The Plot of Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai 

Sonia Saxena, a rich man's daughter, meets an aspiring singer Rohit, who lives in Mumbai, working as a salesman in a car showroom. Their first meeting was when Rohit delivered a car to her house. They met again at her birthday party on a beach. He gets invited on a cruise after he sings a song for Sonia. On the cruise, they both got drunk, fell into a lifeboat, and separated from the ship, eventually stranded on an island together. They both fall in love during their course of togetherness on the island. 

After getting rescued, Rohit's story is a little tense as Sonia's father doesn't approve of their marriage due to class differences. To prove him wrong, Rohit works harder to be successful.

One day he encounters a crime committed by a corrupt officer and Sonia's father's friend, Shakti Malik. They killed Rohit before anyone knew about their crime. Rohit's family and friends, including Sonia, get depressed after hearing about Rohit's death.

To overcome depression, Sonia was sent to New Zealand to stay with her brother. She met Raj Chopra, the son of a billionaire NRI businessman, who strikingly resembles Rohit. After hearing Sonia's story, he accompanies her to the airport, but he knows she doesn't love him even though he looks exactly like Rohit. 

At the airport, Raj gets armed by officers. Sonia and Raj manage to escape safely. They then realize that Rohit was murdered and decides to plot revenge and justice for Rohit and take all the culprits out of their shells.

Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai Cast Performance 

Hrithik Roshan, with his debut, performed a very great and versatile act. He presented two different characters and showed that he was a professional actor. Ameesha Patel, with her debut film, became a proficient actress. She played her rich and in-love character very well. Anupam Kher as an antagonist and Sonia's father worked his way up in his journey of acting. He never disappoints his audience. Overall, the cast performance made this movie evergreen.
