Fans are ecstatic that Warner Bros. has announced Dune: Part 2 and that they will once again see Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. The film will be released in October 2023. On Instagram, Warner Bros. also revealed the poster.

The sequel to Dune has long been in director Denis Villeneuve’s plans. Till now, there has been no shooting for the film, but the shooting and production will resume shortly with the cast members being the same or with little change. Dune: Part Two will be released in theatres only.

Denis Villeneuve helmed the first instalment of the sci-fi epic. Timothee, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, and Josh Brolin were among the cast members of Dune. The first film was simultaneously distributed in theatres and on OTT. The plot follows Paul Atreides (Timothee), whose father takes over the guardianship of planet Arrakis, known as Dune to its native Fremen people and contested for its unique spice commodity found in its forbidding desert. The first instalment of the sci-fi epic, which debuted in the United States on October 22, grossed $41 million in its first weekend. That result was the best film opening of the year for Warner Bros. but the fans desire to not only stream “Dune,” but see it on the big screen. The film has also performed well overseas, earning nearly $225 million globally.

Arrakis’ return was always part of the plan as the character got all the praise and love from the audience across the globe. Director Denis Villeneuve was adamant in interviews that the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel would have two parts. Fans can’t wait to see Timothée Chalamet & Zendaya after we all see the chemistry in real life.
