A genteel but illiterate girl, Vidya, marries Sagar under strange circumstances. After an accident, Sagar behaves like an eight-year-old. Sagar’s stepsister Sindoora wants to usurp her deceased father’s property willed to Vidya and always insults her. However, Vidya tries to keep the family united with her patience. She even manages to make Sagar recover, and he falls for her. The plot takes an interesting twist when Sagar and Vidya get killed by Sindoora, but they are reborn as Amar and Divya.
