The doctors attend to a person, who is suffering from a contracted disease. Raukhaiyya Begum requests her attendants to keep her out of the castle as the disease might spread. Just then, Jodha tries to defend the slave but is not allowed by Raukhaiyya. Meanwhile, Salim keeps drinking with his friend, Qutub and expresses his wish to watch Anarkali dance and entertain him. But Anarkali declines his wish saying that he is not concerned about the people of the kingdom as they are dying daily.
