Rani asks Mathur to go to the godowns to keep a tab on the English soldiers. Further, she asks him to find out about the person who has informed the English soldiers about their property dispute. Mathur, Sardar and other guards stop a group of English soldiers from looting a godown. Mathur imprisons an English soldier, Nicholson, and he asks Sardar to interrogate him. Later, when Rani and Mathur suspect Abhay to be the informer of the English soldiers, she asks Mathur to get proof against Abhay.
