Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy is a film released in 2009 where Mahesh had the chance to portray the Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It revolves around Dinkar Bhonsale who suffers from an identity crisis. Dinkar feels shame in being called a Marathi and therefore, Shivaji Maharaj is forced to intervene. He presents himself before Dinkar and encourages him to take pride in being a Maratha.
