Major Monica Mehra, a fearless army lawyer and investigator, essayed by Jennifer Winget in the ZEE5 Original web series Code M, garnered appreciation widely. The dichotomy of her character is remarkable as she plays a graceful woman as well as a military lioness.

3. Gul Panag - Rangbaaz Phirse

Rangbaaz Phirse, is based on political corruption and dacoity. In such a story, Gul Panag stands out, playing the role of a stockbroker who takes on the crime world, alongside a stalwart like Jimmy Shergill, who essays a gangster chracter, Amarpal Singh.

4. Sakshi Tanwar - Mission Over Mars (MOM)

In this ZEE5 Original named Hum Tum and Them, Shweta Tiwari essays Shiva, a divorced single mother, who raises her 13-year-old daughter, Jahan, literally meaning ‘the world’ to her. She beautifully expresses the struggles of coping with a broken marriage, yet managing to raise her child into a brave woman.

6. Dia Mirza - Kaafir

A heart-wrenching watch, not to be missed, is Dia Mirza as Kainaaz Akhtar, in Kaafir, a ZEE5 Original. She plays a Pakistani woman, who accidentally crosses the border and is presumed to be a militant. When jailed in India, she gives birth to a daughter, Seher. Seher means ‘morning’, is Kainaaz’s sunshine.

7. Kalki Koechlin - Bhram

In a psychological thriller series, Bhram by ZEE5 Originals, Kalki Koechlin plays Alisha Khanna, a novelist suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). As the name of the show suggests, she has illusions and many eccentric experiences. Kalki loves to play such weird characters which prove her versatility.
