As we continue to battle with the Coronavirus epidemic and take all the measures to stay safe, it becomes increasingly more important to be at our healthiest by eating right and getting adequate exercise. Spending more time at home now, we are also responsible for nourishing ourselves with good food. Here are some dishes that will boost your immunity while tasting absolutely delightful! Check them out.

Heat a generous dollop of ghee in a pan and add black cumin seeds, whole garam masala, chopped thor steamed in turmeric and salt, coconut paste, salt, turmeric powder, cashew nuts, sugar to taste, and a bit of water, and cook till it has reduced. Add coriander paste, cumin paste, ghee, and red chilli paste, and stir well. Take off the heat and garnish with grated coconut, chopped cashew nuts, and whole red chilli.

2. Matar Sojne Sajani

To make this, first lightly saute steamed sojne dnata lightly in some oil. Keep aside. Heat up mustard oil and ghee in a pan and add garam masala, two whole red chillies, matar dal, matar dal paste, ginger paste, salt to taste, turmeric powder, and cook together with a little bit of water. As soon as the consistency becomes tender, add the fried sojne dnata to it. Season with a bit of sugar and more ghee, stir and serve hot!

3. Keema Cholar Daler Bahari Dhoka

First mix together chickpea lentil paste and keema in a bowl along with salt, sugar, ginger paste, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder. Coat a banana leaf with oil and cut the slab of the mixture that you have just made into pieces and place on it. Sprinkle the mixture with some wheat flour. In a pan, heat up oil and fry some cumin seeds, sliced onions and boiled onion paste, ginger and garlic paste, a pinch of sugar, and turmeric powder along with a bit of water. Then add red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, tomato puree, cashew nut paste, and raisin paste. Then, add the the pieces of the mixture from earlier and cook together till you have a nice curry!

4. Safed Bhetki

To make this delicious safed bhetki, fry dry whole chillies in refined oil in a pan and add whipped plain yoghurt, cashew nut paste, poppy seed and ginger paste and a bit of water. Mix well and add salt to taste, sugar, and ground pepper, and the gravy is ready. To make the bhetki, add chopped garlic, the gravy, salt, and pieces of fried bhetki fish to some refined oil, and stir well. Yum!

5. Lau Patay Chingri Posto

Fry some prawns with oil, salt and turmeric and keep aside. In the same oil, add black cumin seeds, split chillies, chopped tomatoes, lau pata, salt and stir. Add some pasted gourd leaves, diced and fried potatoes, posto, the fried prawns, sugar to taste, mustard powder mixed with water, chopped coriander, and stir. Add raw mustard oil, steam with the lid on for a minute and it’s ready to eat!
