Varun Dhawan’s Second Schedule Of Jug Jugg Jeeyo Gets Postponed Due To COVID-19

Due to an increase in the COVID-19 cases, the Maharashtra government has put a halt to film shoots within the state. Neetu Kapoor’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo went on the floor in November 2020. However, due to a rise in the cases amongst the cast and crew, the shoot had to be called off. The director Raj Mehta had decided to resume the film from April. However, due to the COVID-19 curfew in Maharashtra, he has decided to postpone the shoot.

Jug Jug Jeeyo makers call off the second schedule 

The film features actors  Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles along with Prajakta Koli and Manish Paul in pivotal roles. The shoot of the film commenced on 16th November in 2020. The shoot took place in Chandigarh for a few months until actors like Neetu Kapoor was diagnosed with COVID-19. They had to cancel the schedule and move back to Mumbai. The makers thought that the next schedule would begin in April but it seems like they will have to wait a bit more.

According to recent reports, Youtuber Prajakta Koli, who was to make her Bollywood debut with Jug Jug Jeeyo has been diagnosed with COVID-19. She has been self quarantined at home. Director Raj Mehta has decided to wait a few more weeks until things get back to normal. Almost 60 per cent of the film is yet to be shot.

Raj Mehta is known for his film Good Newwz which featured Kiara Advani, Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead roles. The film focused on how the IVF of two couples gets mixed up. The audience loved the film and gave a huge response for the same. Jug Jugg Jeeyo on the other hand is produced by Karan Johar and will be distributed by Dharma Productions.
