The Bollywood industry is filled with beautiful and talented actresses. Each one, a little better than the other. And so was the case in the early 1950s and 60s as well. Even though she had competitors like Madhubala and Vyjantimala, veteran Bollywood actress Nutan ruled over the Indian Cinema scene during her time.
Nutan was a beautiful, bold and highly skilled actress. Her dedication to her craft was such that every other actor used to fade away in front of her performance. In 1955, she did the film Seema, where she played the role of Gauri opposite renowned actor Balraj Sahni. Nutan even gave the natural actor a run for his money with her incredible performance on screen.

Just like her mom, Nutan was also a bold and beautiful actress who followed her mother’s legacy and wore swimsuits in many of her films such as Dilli Ka Thug.
Nutan married Lieutenant-Commander of the Indian Navy, Rajnish Bahl, on 11 October 1959. But she never let it affect her career. In fact, she gave many hits after her marriage as well such as Anari, Sujata, Bandini, Chhalia and other super hit films. Although her son Mohnish Bahl also entered the industry, he couldn’t reach the heights that his mother Nutan did. Now with her granddaughter, Pranutan entering the industry, it’ll be fun to see if she matches up to Nutan.
