We all have a special connection with actor Sneha. She has given us wonderful family films and has always been the ideal lady of the house. We have seen her as a doting elder sibling, a caring mother, a loving wife and a colourful person in general. On-screen, she brings a certain simplicity that sets her apart from the crowd that is constantly wanting to do more. This Throwback Thursday, let’s take a look at her childhood and life in short.

Sneha was born to Rajaram and Padmavathy as Suhasini on 12 October 1981. She was born in Mumbai but soon moved to Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. However, she settled down in Tamil Nadu later.

Growing up in Tamil Nadu, the actor’s family owned a function hall which was located on the Chennai-Kumbakonam(Thanjavur) Highway. It was named Sneha Mahal. And maybe that is how Suhasini turned Sneha on screen.

Sneha has two elder brothers, Govind and Balaji. She also has an elder sister named Sangeetha. Just like we look up to her in awe, Sneha is loved and pampered at home, too.

Sneha ventured into cinema at the age of 19, in 2000. She started her career by acting in a Malayalam movie, titled Ingane Oru Nilapakshi. In this film, her role was that of an aspiring dancer. However, the project was put on the backseat for some reason and did not see the light of the day for a long time.

Finally, Sneha debuted with the Tamil film, Ennavale with Madhavan. And then there was no looking back. Since 2000, she has done 71 films. Apart from that, the actor has been part of several reality TV shows. Now, she has signed two more movies, Pattas and Vaan in Tamil. However, they are yet to go on the floor.

In Tollywood, Sneha climbed the ladder to success and fame slowly and steadily. With films like Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Puvvu, S/O Satyamurthy, Sri Ramadasu and more, Sneha established herself as a commercially viable actor. With other films including Ulavacharu Biryani, Rajanna and Amravathi, Sneha was hailed by the critics for her work.

In 2009, Sneha shared the screen with actor Prasanna for the Tamil film titled Achchamundu! Achchamundu! On the sets of this love story, the couple had their own love story and tied the knot in 2012.

In 2015, the couple welcomed their baby boy Vihaan. Recently, Sneha announced that they are expecting their second baby. Wishes have been pouring in for the couple from all corners and celebrities.
